Terms & Conditions of the Sleep Training Agreement
Thank you for your interest in sleep training and choosing me as your sleep coach.
Please read the terms and conditions for JR Sleep Consulting below:
1. You are willing to receive guidance and support regarding your child’s sleep. This will be provided for behavioural aspects only, not medical. Any advice given is for educational purposes. The information I share with you does not replace that of a medical professional, and is in no way intended to constitute medical advice.
2. You always maintain full responsibility for the well-being of your child, and I cannot be held liable for any liability, and you hereby voluntarily waive any claims against me or my representatives acting under my instruction, arising from any cause whatsoever.
3. You agree to participate fully in the process of the consulting and support services that I provide to you, subject to your overall control and responsibility over your child as appears from paragraph 2 above.
4. You are committed to implementing the strategies shared with you to improve your child’s sleep as well as provide me with daily feedback on your progress.
5. You are happy for me to disclose information obtained during our sessions together with my other sleep consultants.
6. Our sleep training programs are designed to empower you to help your baby develop the ability to sleep independently. The goal is for your baby to learn self-soothing techniques to fall asleep and return to sleep during the night by the end of our support period. While we aim to achieve improved sleep patterns for your baby, we cannot guarantee that your baby will sleep continuously throughout the night without any interruptions. Babies have natural sleep cycles, and it is normal for them to stir or have periods of wakefulness during the night, even after becoming proficient sleepers. However, because they will have acquired self-soothing skills, your intervention during these wakeful periods will be minimal, as they will be capable of settling themselves back to sleep.
7. You agree to complete a review (questionnaire) as well as provide a testimonial sharing your experience during the sleep training in a written form (max 50 words) with a photograph as well as in a short video (max 60 seconds), within 3 days after finishing the sleep training, which I would be able to use for any marketing purposes.
8. You can upgrade packages if offered by me but not downgrade. One postponement of the sleep training will be allowed due to illness of the child but the sleep training must be resumed within 1 month of starting. Unused benefits of a sleep training package cannot be transferred to someone else and expire if not used within 1 month of starting the sleep training.
9. Participating in a JR Sleep Consulting sleep program requires full commitment from the parents. By enrolling in the sleep program, you are making a financial commitment to cover the cost. No refunds will be allowed. A cancelled sleep program does not count towards the success rate of JR Sleep Consulting.
10. Hours of Support Consultations are generally from Monday – Friday, 9:00 – 12:00 (South African time Zone); these exclude school holidays and public holidays. If consultations are required outside of these support hours, prior arrangements should be made with me. While I strive to be readily available during these support hours, there may be instances when I am temporarily unavailable or away from my phone but I will keep such instances to a minimum.
